*Videos of performance will be uploaded* Lo-An Lin, piano Following each concert, students will write a 2-page concert review, presenting your reactions and analysis of the repertoire, performers, and the concert experience. Students will connect their perception of the performance to the ideas of gender presented in class. Performance reports will be graded according to the following criteria: Students will give a description of the event, including the works performed, the performers, and the setting of the performance. Students will offer reflective critical-analytical comments about the performance, including ways in which the performance might have differed from your expectations. Students will take special note of the presence of women performers, writers, creators, or performers, critiquing and describing their work through the lens of the various topics covered in this course. In general, students should describe any gendered aspects of the event that become apparent. Students may wish to mention any continuing questions that you have about the event.
