In particular, it will explore from the perspective of UN staff, through a case study, what were the changes implemented to the procurement process, what sustainable procurement practices were implemented after 2015. The dissertation will explore which of the sustainable procurement practices were adopted after 2015, what were the impediments or barriers for their adoption, and what is the importance of the appropriate training and personal commitment to sustainability of the professionals in the procurement process. The literature research should cover the topic of (briefly) sustainable development goals to start with, then public procurement and sustainable procurement practices/strategies, and what are the barriers for implementation of sustainable procurement in supply chains. Possibly also the role of the United Nations as a global buyer of both goods and services.
